Whilst looking at a suit that had once been priced at over $1k but marked down to mid-$400's, I'd be remiss if I didn't take the deal seriously.

Now, I know that the suit was overpriced to begin with, but I gotta get some opinions: what do you guys think of Carolina Herrera men's suits? I figured I'd pick one up and chalk it to a "Why not? It's a good deal" purchase.

But yeah, I need opinions/reviews of CH suits. Thanks!

i pass by herrera at south coast all the time. the suits look really nice and are very slim with high gorges. but they of course may be pinned in the back. i never went inside. the store never looked inviting enough for me to go inside. so dark and stuffy looking and the employees dont smile at you when you try to enter.

Well they were kissing my a** because of the clearance sale. I'd want the the suit to be one of those things where, outside of fit, comfort and style, there's legitimacy to the brand in the realm of men's suits.

Thanks for the response.

You can tell that from walking past the windows? I agree the store doesn't look inviting. I only peak through the entrance when I pass by. No desire to go in. But if you tell me their suits are made by St. Andrews and they have these ridiculous mark downs, then I'm in.

yeah i m sure it is not by st andrews or whomever.

how can they go down to 400 dollars if not made by caruso or vestimenta or zegna, or someone of that level?

Just called the store, and the guy doesn't know who "makes" the suits. He says, "Well, Carolina Herrera."

Major mark downs, I just can't get a feel for the rep of CH suits. High gorge would definitely be good, as I have longer torso shorter legs. . .

What does their repuatation have to do with it? If it fits, and looks good...who cares what the label says? Go try it on.

By "reputation," I am aiming at reputation for quality. Mea culpa.

It seems no one has seen the suits. If I get one I'll take photos or somethin'.

Go in, try on a jacket and have a look at the inside label while inspecting it.

Another issue I'm curious about:

The suits have a different feel/texture to them, with 2% of something or other that apparently makes it better for travel or something. Will this make it out of style sooner. . .

I recently bought a CH suit while travelling in Mallorca - also on huge discount, ended up being around $400. I brought it to my tailor yesterday and he commented on what a nice suit it was, modern fit, etc. It's a dark navy 2 button with a bright red lining and red thread on the buttons and pocket underlining. The fit is trim, high arm-holes and looks great. Might end up being my new fave, even ahead of my RLBLs (*audible gasp*)

...that being said, I have yet to wear it throughout a full day. Getting it back next Thursday, will post my review after a day of wear.

I have two CH suits that I bought at her outlet in Woodbury. Luckily, I think I bought both for around $150, but they are khaki/cotton. The tags on both read "Made in Spain," though I don't know who makes her suits. Suffice to say they have a great cut and for the money, were great deals for summer suits.
