Pink Taco in West of USA is also good choice. But for very good Pizza Puttanesca(also other variety is possible) + smaller bill than at more fancy restaurants(but do not tell this reason to wife!) La Pizza Fresca is so nice!

What are her interests? Do something she enjoys and then go volunteer at a soup kitchen /homeless shelter toghether for the night. Excellent groups of volunteers will provide good company and a reminder of how blessed you two have been this year.

Congrats.

+1 on Bouley. Went there a few days ago in their new location. Quite romantic and good food. Not French Laundry good but quite good value for the money. I like it more than Le Bernadin.

The problem is that our anniversary is on a Sunday, so a lot of French restaurants appear to be closed (including Jean George and Le Bernadin).

L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon is available. Good pick? Something else? We are on the wait list for Per Se.

Congrats on the 1 year, sir.

Eww. Do we look like democrats to you? Just kidding. But no, I'm not that generous, unfortunately.

Thanks for the suggestions and congratulations everybody. EMP looked very promising until I discovered that it too is closed on Sundays.

Foof, have you ever been to EMP?

Do it on Saturday, spend the Sunday lounging, doing nothing, sleeping in, and recovering from the stellar food the night before. Worth it.
