That is hilarious, although I might call shennanigans.

In 2007 there were internet cafes / free wifi all over Europe. No-one goes 2 weeks without getting online unless they are in a remote place.

Train times, booking hostels / hotels, city guides, etc, etc, etc...

but wouldnt she just go to his house after a couple days and see what's going on? Maybe do the psycho camping out in front til he gets home thing?

if a gf didnt reply to anything for days I would fear that she was murdered or something, not breaking up with me. i dunno, I smell phony baloney with this whole video and email

I once had this same thing happening to me in one night.
Girl texts me : can you come over to the bar, I am working there now..
I am tired and not even in town (was at my parents that night) so I went to sleep.
Next morning I wake up and find 14 textmessages in my phone starting with:
why don't you respond to my message
where are you now
If you dont come over here I will be pissed off
and it got worse and worse
ending with
What slut are you in bed with now, you asshole.
and something about her hoping that I would be getting various diseases and stuff.
etc. etc.
Never talked to that psycho bitch again. Weird.

Some people enjoy the disconnect that goes with traveling. I dont think it's at all strange that he didn't check his email or call anyone.

^^ true. When the missus and I were on our 2 week honeymoon in Europe I never went online, to check emails or anything. Just made 2 phonecalls to our moms to say we made it ok. Unlike most, I can live perfectly fine not answering the phone and not checking email when I am on holiday mode

Well, this is a chick who didn't pay attention enough and had zero clue that her bf was in Europe for a couple of weeks. Assuming this is real, it doesn't strike me as odd that she acted the way she did and did not display the investigative skills most of us would have in this situation. Essentially she didn't seem rational or have all her marbles. Would have been better if he posted a pic. Her actions would have been ever so slightly forgiveable if she were smokin' hot.

Wait, how is this the guy's fault?? He told her he was leaving, he said goodbye the night before he left! I'm sure he mentioned the phone situation. Frankly, if I only had a couple of weeks to take in all of Europe, I wouldn't waste 10 minutes in a cybercafe. She, on the other hand, is clearly a moron and/or bat-shit crazy and decided to fuck another guy. If anyone is able to find the facebook/myspace for this person, I'd love to know what she looks like. Sometimes the crazy ones are pretty hot!

Yea, fair enough. I usually check every few days to make sure things havent melted down, but dont respond to anything until I get back.

If you arent worried about it then I can see not checking.
