Grill Pron Part Deux -Date Night on the Grill - Sea Bass, Crostinis, Shrimps, Romaine

My cousin, and fellow Grillin Fool, and his wife documented date night on the grill recently. With the economy the way it is, why not stay in and cook an elaborate meal for a fraction of the cost of what it would be at a nice restaurant. Not only do you get to enjoy the meal together but also the process of making it.

The appetizers of crostinis and shrimps:

Side dish of grilled Sweet Potatoes:

Another side of grilled Romaine (a really popular thing on our site these days as it is so friggin good)

The main dish, some lovely sea bass:

The setting for the meal:

Looks fantastic. I need to ditch my gas grill and get me a charcoal dome.

Ha, finally some expertly executed spam. Keep it up though, good stuff.

Great stuff, but it would probably serve you, and me, best to use plain white dishes..

You can do amazing things on a gas grill. I smoked three chickens on a gas grill on Father's day. I prefer charcoal but gas can do just about anything a charcoal grill can do. It can't do a dedicated smoke of say a pork butt overnight but that's about it...

Tell me about it. The hardest part of all this is taking good pics. Some of the pics I took when I first started documenting all of this stuff were just horrendous. I literally went out and bought two white plates and a platter from K-Mart just for pics. I just bought an SLR a few weeks ago and things have improved greatly since....

This meal was prepared by my cousin. The Grillin Fools are made up of three people, myself, my dad and my cousin. My folks plates are white already. I may need to have that talk with them.

I never knew photography would be so hard but it's extremely complicated...
