So, I decided to quit being a pussy. Help?

So, I'm going to turn 18 next month, and all my life I have been really skinny, I weight about 150 lbs (6'1") so too much fat is not my problem, however, I am starting to notice some fat in my belly and it seems some man boobs are starting to try to come up

I don't want to be a fatty, so I want to stop!!

my plan is to do 30 minutes of jogging everyday, and lift weights, push ups, sit ups, crunches, etc every other day (doing the jogging right after that)

I eat pretty healthy as it is, last time i ate any fast food was 5 months ago, so im not too worried about having to change my diet

I want to get a 6 pack, i've never had one because im not very athletic, im just skinny

I cant jog for more than 5 minutes in a single burst, I guess I have to work on my stamina

What should i do? is my work out plan good or should i make any changes?

Enlist. If that won't work for you then train for a sport. This will give you the body you want.

You're 18. Get outside.

well you are starting to get on in years now man........ personally, I give the same advice everytime I post on this board...go take up boxing. Very few things in the world will de-pussy you faster.

Try jumping rope. It's a good way to build up your stamina, develops your coordination and it works out more parts of your body then jogging. Buy a good leather rope with ball bearings. Once you've developed your stamina and speed, switch to a weighted rope. With a weighted rope, if any part of my body is sore or tired, you will feel it. Plus, jumping rope is one of the best cardio exercises that you can do. Being so young and thin, you may have trouble putting on muscle mass. If I were you, I wouldn't concern myself with my actual weight. The more important measure is whether your body looks good. Look at your body ever night. I know that sounds narcissistic, but it is a self-reinforcing routine. If you are ashamed of your man-boobs, you will feel shamed into working on improving them. When you start noticing improvement, it will fuel your motivation. My final piece of advice is to do everything you can at home before joining a gym. Prove your motivation to yourself before committing the money.

Sadly, I cant take up boxing anytime soon because I injured my right pinkie knucke punching a wall >.> I do punch a sand bag from time to time though, I guess I will do that more often As for the jumping rope, i will give it a shot, ill buy one this afternoon I'm not too concerned about building up muscle mass because im pretty strong... I used to be in a band and was always carrying around heavy amps, drum kits, etc. right now im more concerned about the 6 pack! Also... I was jogging yesterday, I jogged for around 4 minutes, walked for 2 minutes, jogged for 4 minutes, etc for about 30 minutes, at the end i did a 1 minute sprint, man it felt good! but after i got home, i realized a pain in my left testicle... I hope it's just because i ran using very loose boxers, although it had never been a problem before, what do you guys think?

I read in this site its better to lose all the fat first, and THEN work on muscle mass, so i was planning on doing that

and to answer your question, both would be nice

Generally if you have a lot of fat to lose then I would say this is the way to go, but at 6'1'' and 150lbs you could probably work on packing on some muscle.

You have to start slow and pace yourself unless you want to burn out and/or injure youself. Since it seems like all-around fitness is your goal, I'd recommend starting with maybe 4 days a week total, 2 weights, 2 cardio. With weights, read the posts on here and keep it simple - maybe just start with a press/squats/deads program and slowly work your way up. With cardio, if you wanna do jogging you have to be patient and work your way up. Start with 60sec running/90 sec walking for 20 minutes (warm up and cool down of 5 brisk walk each) and increase every week. So basically, Week1: 20 min of 60sec running, 90sec walking Week2: 20 min of 90sec running, 90sec walking Week3: 20 min of 120sec running 60sec walking and keep increasing your running intervals and maybe get to 30+ min after 4-6 weeks. And so on. You shouldn't feel like you're killing yourself. Plus look up one of the 10-12 week programs on beginner to 5K.

You say you're sick of being skinny, so I'm assuming you want to get bigger? Eat more, lift heavy, and cut out cardio. Give it some time and you'll start filling in.
