When will I start loosing weight in my rear?

Thread Starter
I am about 6'1" and weigh 165lbs with a 32" waist and 39" ass. At my heaviest I got up to 220lbs with a 38" waist and a 40" ass.

My question is, will the I eventually start to loose the weight in my ass as I keep getting in shape and working out? It is starting to make my profile look goofy and pants are not fitting right as I have a slim waist and thigh but the back end is always too tight.

I know you can't spot reduce and I've heard that you loose it in the first place you gained it. I've always had a bit of a bubble butt. Is there any hope that it will slim down any?

thanks

I don't know how keen anyone is talking about your "loose" ass.

You'll start to lose girth in your ass when you've lost fat other places. You can't spot reduce fat and the areas that are first to house extra weight are also the last to let go of it.

It's kind of annoying when you have a slim waist. My waist is about a 32 and I have a 41 ass, which tends to get in the way a little bit. Just lay off those squats

My ass has gotten HUGE from squatting, but the girls love it (and a lot of boys), so I figure hey, why mess with a good thing?

I don't consider an ass big until it's 40+

You ass is staying big due to over-training. You need to give your bootyhole a rest. Stop putting things in there, and the fat will eventually disappear.

You'll loose fat in that region last IMO. I tend to get really bad love handles when I'm overweight. They're always the LAST thing to go and the HARDEST to get rid of. I was obese during high school and lost it all in grade 12... the love handles were so stubborn. I now row or cycle 6 days per week (not usually both on the same day) partly out of paranoia that they'll come back If it's muscle, then could be overtraining.

In my experience, large asses are like large calves; God gave them yo you, or he didn't. Most everyone I train with has a larger than average ass. It all appears to be genetic. They all squat and deadlift big weight. They're all fast on the field.

I'm willing to bet your ass is big because A) you were born with athletic genes and B) you train. I hold A resposible for the size and B responsible for its muscular development. Be proud of your genetic superiority.

I certainly wish my ass were bigger.
