Greson M.P for Paul Stwart looks real slick and has more "style" than regular Grenson MP line. I am pretty sure I will pick up one or two pairs.

Chris, I am still enjoying Grenson MP Stowie that I bought from you 2 yrs ago. That shoes now have amazing patina developed. It has a mirror shine and gets attention from everyone!

Does anyone know how the Grenson US sizing is calculated from the UK? I.e., are the US sizes MARKED one-half size up from what Grenson would MARK on their shoes, or a full size up? I'm NOT asking for general conversion tables but if anyone has any idea how Grenson translates its sizes for the US market.

RJ...there are two lasts that Paul Stuart uses for their Masterpiece shoes. One is quite similar to the EG 202 and I take my usual US size on that one. The other is an elongated chisled toe ala the C&J 337 (but not as elongated) that is more generous so I take a 1/2 size down on that one. I'll post the two last numbers tonight when I get home.

I think the elongated lasts are 9000 type numbers (i.e. 9003).

Chris, we all know that you have tons of spare time this weekend but would it be possible to add the last number on the listings. It may actually prevent people calling you about this.

143 pairs of shoes - in total - does not seem to be a great deal of inventory to be a liquidation. Should move pretty fast - except for maybe some of the very small sizes.

On the Grensons I got from the last sale, the last number is in the 8000's and they are too big for me. I could have sized down probably a half or whole size.

Thanks Chris for the size availabitity info and Andrew for the last/fit info.

What kind of lasts the current stocks have? The same lasts as the last Bennie sale? Or the current PS lasts like what Andrew described?

Do you think this thread will grow longer than the Paul Stuart sample sale or the Asprey sale (now vanished with Great Crash XXVI) threads?

Ahh, the PS sample sale thread. We'll miss that one. As for the first Bennie's sale, I don't recall it drawing anywhere near the hype this one has. I think it actually took a while for people to realize what a great deal it was. This time around, Chris has been craftier -- higher prices, tantalizing previews, and a running countdown to the opening hour.

Honestly, I hope they do really well off this sale. I'm sure it's a ton of work, and they're bringing us some really nice shoes at really good prices.

I would say that most of the lasts are the same as the last sale I had, and know this thread will not get even as big as the last Grenson thread....man wait till you all see some of these pictures this time....WOW.....I almost don't want to share, was thinking they would look good framed on my mantel

I will tease a little

Last time however, the sale was mentioned in the NYT's article. That had to have made a significant impact. You're right about the craftiness: Chris has got you guys salivating! I'm sitting this one out, the price is a little to steep for me.

Don't you work for BigLaw? No excuses!

Chris -- that pic is great. Looks like the EG Ladbroke, but at a wallet-friendlier price. Hope the other shoes are just as pretty.
