Fresh from his Esquire Best Dressed Man finalist nomination, mafoo went trolling in a tough neighborhood last night and GOT BUSTED! Apparently having learned nothing from the Beer Summit, he exhibited "loud and tumultuous" behavior with a mod who owns 60+ pairs of AE shoes!

Be careful Foof! They'll use their brass-buttons to blind you before they smother you in their sack-jackets and beat you to death with surplus Park Avenues.

Those AAAC guys,, what a buncha hooligans. You gotta be careful where you tread, Foof!

Good to see he didn't get too busted up. Cant really argue with him - AE are pieces of cow manure.

Brass buttons are too snobbish for AAAC. At worst, you'll have to look at black plastic buttons.

no need to straight up trash the brand. the styling is not for everyone. Ever since Foo did a good job on foofing you, you've been such the franboy.

Guys people are entitled to their opinions and if a certain forum has a strong preference towards a brand like AE's let them have it. You guys honestly think a person visiting occasionally from AAAC or a new member can feel all things are balanced and equal here?

This forum is equally as hostile towards certain ideas and brands or fondness of certain brands and I have known many a few new members who have been afraid to post something against mainstream thought here. So let us not bash another forum and its people for preferences towards certain brands. Sure, if they are misquoting facts or are misinformed on factual info that can be discussed but even then it is kind of pointless discussing it here (unless discussion originated here). It does nothing but raises gossip and such.

Discussing what people are doing or saying at other forums can be a VERY slippery slope...

My 2 cents

I agree with your last point, T. But there's a difference in general forum hostility and moderator-enforced bans on certain subjects. What's the point of a discussion forum if you can't discuss?

I have sympathy for the timid, but only so much sympathy. If you have a good case, argue it. Admittedly, it's wise to make a few posts before you start attacking the forum's sacred cows. But nearly all of us, I'm sure, hold minority views on certain topics. So it goes. Personally, I don't find much value in being politely told I'm right.

Even though I own several pair of AEs, I found the reaction ot Foof's post both amusing and a bit perplexing. Whatever goes on these boards is nothing compared to the kind of animus and vitriol found on other fora, e.g. Facebook.

Do you blame me? I can't hate my virtual tailor.

I guess no one here noticed the smile/wink emoticon...I don't think it was an entirely serious comment and maybe Foo took it that way in a moment of rash sensitivity.

Y'all need to RELAX
