Poached Eggs

I'm making them right now. They go well with so many different foods -- breads, cheeses, meats, and sauces.

I love how the white pulls together with a perfectly poached egg. It's a skill that rewards the cook every time.

I like a runny egg yolk just as much as the next person, but I don't have the daily patience to cook them... hard-boiled is the only way I eat my eggs unless somebody is cooking, virtually no clean-up and I find something therapeutic about peeling eggs in the morn ha.

I poached eggs for the first time yesterday. Much easier than it sounds and the results are delicious.

I lurv da poached egg, but I rarely get it right. Too often the whites end up in a wispy mess all over my pan.

I've tried vinegar, stirring the water, etc... Someone told me to use saran wrap, gotta look into that.

Mine sometimes come out ok, but so far it's been a crap shoot. And I dont get how the stirring works if you want to cook 2 eggs...

2. Heat.
3. Poach egg.
4. Eat.
5. ????
6. Profit.

Can't think of a soup that won't have fucking delicious results after following those steps.

I love poached eggs but only when cooked in a frying pan with a little bacon grease. And none of that sissy-egg-cup-thingy; I like my poached eggs fairly flat with slightly crispy edges.

Love poached eggs. Love deep fried eggs as well.

I'm another person that has trouble poaching eggs. I maybe get 1 out of 5 or so to be really nice. I've read a lot of tips and tricks and none of them help.

They are good though.
