Superb choices for the 22nd and 23rd.

So: there were maybe fifteen of us with Bennett after the concert, but he only gabbed with four or five of us. A woman he was ignoring came up to him and asked, "Mr. Bennett, may I asked you a stupid question?"

Bennett replied, "I don't answer stupid questions." He then immediately spun around on his heels and left the room, not to be seen again.

It was fantastic.

Vox, this outfit makes you appear much longer and leaner than usual. I like. I believe you mentionned in one of your Steed threads that your jackets are usually around thumb length, whereas this one is longer than that. Could that explain the resulting visual effect? Color combo might have something to do with it as well.

Thank you.

The Leica that I have been using recently is just much less distorted than the kinda crappy point and shoot that I was using before in the standing office shots. The older camera, which accounts for most of the straight-on standing shots I've posted here, had a fairly pronounced fisheye distortion compared to the Leica...thus, the recent comments about "losing weight" and looking "longer and leaner." The lens on the old camera would bow things in at top and bottom.

At least, I think that's what it is since I haven't lost weight nor am I longer than before. The recent summer pics are just less distorted than before, although still not completely flat.

As for the length of the jacket: that Barbera is simply too long...but I still find it wearable. I think that a longer jacket actually does the opposite of making someone look lean, but maybe you're on to something about the color combination in that ensemble.

Thumb length (about the same as fingers curled) works for me. If I just look at where the jacket falls vs. your hands/fingers, it does appear too long. However, I don't get that impression when I look at the whole.

I feel there are two guides to optimal jacket length. First, it's got to cover the ass. Once that's done, it shouldn't be shortened, but it can be lengthened a tad (not much) depending on your height for overall balance with your trousers.

Once you get that dialed in the way that you like, then you can reference the length that you have established to where that length falls on your hand. That point will differ by individual, so you don't start with, say, the "finger curl" method.

Agreed. I can appreciate that some guys will prefer shorter jackets, but when they don't cover your ass? Save that for the womenz.

I guess I just skip step 1 altogether since going by inside of curled fingers ensures that the jacket covers ****** completely and hits at a good length for me. I also figure you've got to have some short arms or a really low slung ass in order to not have a jacket cover your ass going by step 2 alone.

What's with the funky tie knot, this rear-blade showing seems the equivalent of a lady's bra-strap showing but a lot less sexy. Seen this on the 'Foo, what's the deal?

It's cool, and especially handy if your tie isn't wide enough to create the visual effect you want.

I like the lines of this jacket. I would guess some might call it too clean. I would lower the button position by 3/4".

The tie knot rocks. You want a knot to fill in the real estate created by the collar spread.
