^way off topic dood. i find that in socal, the alberto's chain carries the best carne asada fries.

Yup to both. Also partial to Cotixan... SD is the goddamn mecca of heart attack-inducing Mexican food.

Cotijas is awesome. I really love JV's taco shop in Mission Valley...they do some good carne asada fries. Often though, at the little divey mexican shops, their versions of carne asada is more grey than char...... JVs and Cotijas are awesome, i've had some here in LA but its not as good. had at Albertos and also at Benitos. Irish Nachos are available at some irish bars.

I don't recommend the Carne Asada fries at Roberto's by Del Mar/Torrey Pines State Beach. They're pretty lame and aren't nearly as good as Cotijas.
