i sized 34 (tts) and hemmed a 1/2 inch in the inseam. the ones i got were o/w'd. i need them to stretch at least a half to full inch to rest at 34.5-35" in the waist. do you think they will stretch beyond there o/w state? ive never owned a pair of momotaro's, which is why im a little worried. they havent shipped or hemmed yet so i think i can still change if need be.

You have probably already read my post but I generally fit in to 33 or 34 but had to go to a 36 with the 705BIG because the 34's I tried did not give me any room in the top block and thighs. For reference I'm 6'1 190 lbs. Hopefully you are a little smaller and skinnier than me.

I've never worn a 36 in any jean and the 705BIG's 36's are a little loose in the waist but fit tight/perfect everywhere else.

These jeans don't stretch, if you have any doubt I would not get them hemmed so you can exchange or return them if they don't work out.

The waist on the 34's was fine for me it's the top block and thigh fit that was too tight.

i did read your thread. thanks for the info, as always. im 5'11" and 180 lbs. do you have thicker thighs? i do but im okay with anything above 12." do you think i need to go to a 36? thanks again for your input. edit: they just sent them out un-hemmed today (11/20) so i will see if these ******* things fit in a couple days.

I think you should get a very good fit. I cycle and workout so my thighs/ass are probably more built up than most peoples. Since they are unhemmed you can always return them. Although they will probaly be long on you, a half inch hem is probaly not worth it. You may get enough shrinking so that you won't need to hem.

Love my 705's really great denim. Can't wait till they show some wear.

Make sure to let us know how it goes.

I've been wearing my Momo's for about two weeks... Can't stop looking at them, they are so gorgeous. Wouldn't mind if they lighten up a bit though, they are sooo dark.

hey momo people.

so my 0705BiGs came in and here is the deal. these are not o/w'd but these are not suppose to shrink all the much, if at all...

they fit great right now (super rigid currently) and i can pull about 3/4 - 1 inch in the waist band if i tug on the top button. the thigh area is just about near perfect (slim but not overly slim). so, my question to people with this denim is are these going to give about a half inch or is stretching minimal to none?

By the way... Are the 0705BiG partially sanforized like the Vintage Label line? If so, they will shrink! Maybe not that much, but still 1,5 to 2 inches on the inseam and 1 inch in the waist.

eh...****! what to do...

i dont think you can have a partial sanforized denim. that makes no sense. but yes, these are sanforized and they will shrink, albeit it will be very minimal if at all.

Congrats. Even if they were OW they could still would be very stiff. They will stretch a little in the waist but not much anywear else.

My experience is that they willl shrink in the wash but stretch out to their original size. The way they fit at the start is the way they will stay especially if they are OW.

This denim tends to keep its original size and does not stretch or shrink very much unless you do something drastic like wash hot or throw it in the dryer.

If they fit too tight now then I would return them. If they fit comfortable now I think they will basically stay that way.
