You have probably already read my post but I generally fit in to 33 or 34 but had to go to a 36 with the 705BIG because the 34's I tried did not give me any room in the top block and thighs. For reference I'm 6'1 190 lbs. Hopefully you are a little smaller and skinnier than me. I've never worn a 36 in any jean and the 705BIG's 36's are a little loose in the waist but fit tight/perfect everywhere else. These jeans don't stretch, if you have any doubt I would not get them hemmed so you can exchange or return them if they don't work out. The waist on the 34's was fine for me it's the top block and thigh fit that was too tight.
I think you should get a very good fit. I cycle and workout so my thighs/ass are probably more built up than most peoples. Since they are unhemmed you can always return them. Although they will probaly be long on you, a half inch hem is probaly not worth it. You may get enough shrinking so that you won't need to hem.
By the way... Are the 0705BiG partially sanforized like the Vintage Label line? If so, they will shrink! Maybe not that much, but still 1,5 to 2 inches on the inseam and 1 inch in the waist.
Congrats. Even if they were OW they could still would be very stiff. They will stretch a little in the waist but not much anywear else.
