you can manipulate the shrinkage all you want, but as mentioned__ "ain't no way you can make them slim". the proportion is not going to change much down the line. also, be aware that the denim on these is tight-weaved [like that of SDAs & Real McCoy's] so, don't count on stretching out the waist like on some Samurai models to compensate on thigh proportion.

you gotta decide if you're happy with the fit/cut or not. if not, don't do shiet anymore [eg, machine dry]__ put 'em up for FT or FS while they got value.

those are 2 different cuts__ 701 will still have lower rise even if you size up & 201s will still not be slim even if you size down.

i think you guys are confused why ppl size up or down. 1stly, you got to decide if the cut is what you want. then, you tweak the fit as to, whether tighter or looser or compensate [for slmmer frame or larger thighs], by sizing up or down your normal waist size... as Doctor [& general consensus] recommended

btw, just FYI, my 701 Momos were a SU1 @W34 for a more comfort fit [fit pics to follow] :: did a double hot soak when i got them :: current measurements : w= 33.75, ins hemmed= 33, f/rise= 10, b/rise= 14, u/t= 12, kne= 9, l/o= 8.5 :: fit & measurement__ exactly like PBJ 005/007 'cept for the slightly tapered hem.

That's how the 0201's are more or less supposed to look IMO. They are possibly a little big through the thighs, but I think if you hot wash + tumble dry they'll be ok. Even try doing it twice to get all the shrinkage out of them. I find they can shrink again the second time around. I'm a big fan of th 0701 cut. I go one waist size larger than I take in the 0201 and I love the way they fit - less tube-like and more of a neat, slim taper through the leg to a narrower leg opening. The rise is also lower and the top block very slim. They suit my chicken drumstick legs better than a straight fit - I think if you're really slim right through your legs with not too much bulk in the thighs, then the 0201 can look pretty good.

Got the 201s a couple of days ago. It's probably one of the best pair of jeans I've ever owned. Both fit and quality are superb.

If some of you guys with 201's could post some post-soak fit pics that would be greatly appreciated. I have searched the internets high and low but cannot find more than a couple pics

I have til tomorrow to exchange mine, but I would prefer to keep them because I've already done 3 exchanges in the past while and the store staff probably thinks I'm going crazy

Just snapped it real quick, hence the poor quality and dodgy clothes. The reason I'm not as fond of them is because they're tight in my cyclist thighs, yet just slightly bigger than I want them to be between the knee and the ankle. That is purely because I have really chunky thighs though - it's not so apparent from the pics due to the fit on the jeans, and my height makes my legs look slimmer. It's also proof that they are a true straight fit

Looks like Context is sold out of the 201s.

Edit: Crisis averted, BiG has my size in stock. Has anyone ordered from that eBay seller yet? Maybe I'll step up and be the first...

Those don't look tight on your thighs... how big are your thighs anyway? I have 25" thighs, which are big, so unless yours are around the same size, you don't really have big thighs. I think the fit looks good, thigh-wise, on that pair.

Went ahead and did the hot soak + tumble dry (half tumble half hangdry). My drying machine is absolutely coated with blue, and yes I had them turned inside out. Anyways, I am pretty happy with how they turned out. I think I need to go back and have them hemmed again because they seem a bit long to me still.

click for full pic.

Thanks to everyone who helped me with my sizing questions!
