What they said on their instagram page was "you can expect .75'' - 1'' in the waist over time and approximately .25'' in the thigh". Now I'm really confused...

Not trying to be paranoid, but I had to go on and ask them, and here's what they replied:

"This fabric will stretch 1/2” - 3/4” in the waist and 1/4” in the thigh after you wear 20 times.  You will not see any shrinkage, at least nothing you would notice or that would alter the fit.  I would go tag 33 and it will stretch to be perfect, you can probably wear with a belt after just a couple wears to prevent extra shrinkage."

I'm sure the last word should be stretching...

Hope it helps others who are still on the edge.

My aim is to share experience, not to confuse😏

Here are some measurements on the 701 for you consideration.

Raw vs. Post Multiple Wash [BiG-style]
Tagged W34: w= 35 / 34
F/rise= 10.75 / 10
B/rise= 14.75 / 14.25
U/thigh= 12.75 / 12.25
Knee= 9.5 / 9
L/O= 8.75 / 8.25 @32 inseam

Numbers don't lie__ basically, waist is shrink-to-tagged. Unless they've undergone some sort of pre-soaking, shrinkage is to be expected accordingly.

Some peeps like the challenge of stretching their jeans out every after wash. I find it bothersome😕

Goodluck👊🏼

I've got 5 pairs of Momo's and non have stretched more than an inch, plus it generally shrinks back after a wash

I really appreciate your information. This pair is sanforized, maybe that's why their shrinkage is minimal if any. Like I said, I'm not familiar with Momotaro at all, I will go with my gut. If it has to be lesson learnt, that's something a rookie's gotta go through right?

Thanks again!

what's the $$$ for the BOM00X, anyone know?

Momos will stretch but VERY little, and only in the waistband. My suggestion is make sure that they fit nicely before you soak them. The unsanforized jeans will shrink a bit, but not a whole lot. The sanforized jeans shrink very little if any.

Does anyone have any information on the Momotaro 8005SP with the Going to Battle stripes? The wife bright me back a pair from Tokyo but I can't find any info on them. The jeans are very low rise.

I just got a pair of One Wash 0705's that i gotta still hem/taper to fit me better. I got considerable amount of room in the waist but would like to see a little more room in the thighs, should I get a 0205 instead or will the stretch in thighs be sort of significant? Does anyone have both 0705 / 0205 models and would help me out w/ a comparison in the fits around the top block?

205?? Or 201 !?
201 vs 705:
• Both have about same taper from knee to hem
• 201 cut is roomier @thighs
• 201 has a bit longer rise than 705.

IMO if u have thigh issues, 201 might be the cut for u.

Any recommendations for mid to high rise raw denim? I have a slim waist compared to thigh and glutes so I almost gave up finding jeans that fit,,, Its either too tight in the butt or too roomy in the legs so I am guessing maybe higher rise will do the trick,

Give the "Natural Taper" fit a go. I just got a pair from Blue Owl and they fit better than any of my other Japanese jeans. I squat and lunge and don't have a gaunt build so it's hard to find a decent pair but these fit great. I did get a 36 instead of a my trouser size 34 but that's on par with all my other denim.
