Shoot Jay an e-mail (sales@blueowl.us) or visit his shop in person or online at blueowl.us. Jay can work something out for you, I'm sure.

if you're looking for skinny, it's none of those 4 models you mentioned. As for BOM002, dimensions have "skinny" possibility ... depending on your body type.

the "tight" 701s & G007s are [actually] slim-straights [check fit pix above for 701s], while the "slim" G004/014 have higher rises & roomier thighs with slight tapering from knee to hem. Meaning, they may not be slim @all.

as already mentioned, these cuts are silhouettes, the actual fit entirely depends on how you're built

I checked out the measurements for every model on blueowl, BiG and denimio, and it seems only the BOM006 are a skinny jean? That and G007 but the knee is still too loose. I'm looking for a cut that's kinda close to the APC PS, or just a skinny or tight w/e tapered jean. I was told to avoid samurai/sugarcane/mccoy/SDA due to their fit, not quality. I think the PBJ xx013s are the closest ones I can find to my measurements but they're sold out everywhere.

Don't forget, Momos use topstiched inseams so you can get them tapered to fit at places such as Railcar without losing the selvedge.

- how does momotaro stack up to other japanese brands like flat head, japan blue, etc.?

- anybody have fit pics of the new-ish 'tight tapered' cut (model 0305 I think it is)?

I've only been able to find a few pics here:

http://streething.com/news/13688/thing-the-denim-store-x-momotaro-tight-tapered-18oz-denim-jeans/

really love the fit on those

1. No, it doesn't stand out. I have to smack someone in the face with it before they notice it. Though on the deep indigo it stands out more because of the greater contrast between fabric and inseam/selvage.
2. On par. Momotaro's are a great piece of craftmanship.
3. No. But I don't like the new models anyway. Vintage Label is where it is at.

thanks

My 0202 in 30 arrived. They fit much better than the 0702. Only the leg opening is a bit wide, but I knew this before.

Just giving them a hot soak. Interesting: They don’t seem to have as much starch as other jeans. Recently I soaked a pair of Jean Shop Slim Fits and the water turned dark yellow brown immediately. That’s the suff I don’t want to have in contact with my skin. The Momos just lost a bit of indigo and the water is still clear.

My BOM006's after about 3-4 months of wear. 1 soak, no washes. I've basically worn them to and from school. Nothing too hard. The crotch have blown out and been repaired once.

Thanks! :) And yes, all my jeans do. I don't know why, but it doesn't matter if it's Nudie, Lee or Momotaro.

Are you sure you're wearing the right size?

This sounds like an expensive exercise!smile.gif

I've tried both tight and loose fits but the crotch always blows out. I usually fix them once and then they hold up pretty well. So yes, it's more expensive than if they wouldn't blow out, but I don't seem to find a way around it... My BOM006's are the tightest fitting pair I have atm, and my 0701's have blown out too even though they are a bit looser.

I wouldn't go for too tight fitting jeans if you're blowing the crotch in 3-4 months - unless you want to wear Iron Heart 21oz denim!

Very expensive exercise!smile.gif
