Since I can't return/exchange them, I am wanting to shrink them as much as possible, even at the cost of compromising the indigo/color.  What is the best approach to achieve as much shrinkage with as little color loss as possible?  TIA.

Since the 0702BR is sanforized, it is unlikely going to shrink much. Your best bet would be to wash them hot and tumble dry them afterwards. Though the shrinkage that might occur is easily reversed by stretch.

Best option is to sell them with minimal loss and buy a new pair in the correct size.

I think the BR702s look fine. Nothing wrong with not cramming your junk in a pair.

Thanks, El'.  Your input is much appreciated.

Thanks for the input, Mistral.  I will mull over what I will do...

once the 702BRs soften up and drape a little, they should look OK i reckon.

Hi Folks

Hope to receive some help of Momo/ Japan Blue experts.

I've pulled the trigger on a pair of Japan Blue Denim, article should be 0406 (taped fit).

I'm still at the beginning of breaking them in. As I would like to have a narrower leg opening than it already has, I'm considering to my favourite tailor and please him to make the leg slimmer.

What I don't know is if the leg opening will shrink after first wash similar as waist & length or if this will not happen.

Thanks,

Chris

Shrinkage will be minimal as the 0406 is sanforized. Excpect 1" max!

i bought a pair of 0705sp in 36, even though i probably could've stretched a 34 enough to fit me (i was probably a 34.5" waist at the time). i've now lost about 10 pounds and am approximately a true 33.5. i know the 0705sp is already prewashed, but how much shrinkage could i optimistically expect if i hot soaked it? and how hot with the water should i go?

Well, back to original measurements, maybe a tad more. But don't expect wonders.

Any info on whether Momotaro will produce 0202BR?

Just felt like we need more pics. 1 year a few months on these Copper labels... Don't get much wear lately, about 5-7 months of actual wear and 2 washes. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Your statement was quite true.  I struggled through breaking the regular 702s and I remember how stiff and starchy they were.  With no washes, they have softened up with wear and drape and fit nicely after almost six months of wear.  I couldn't see going through that again with the 702BRs so I gave them an initial wash and the fit isn't actually that bad now.  They're hanging up in my closet now till I reach the actual six month mark on these 702s.  They'll be washed then and I will then start rotating wear of my raw denim.
