I love them, just thought that they don't have as much contrast as I thought they would. Figured it was because I washed them pretty early on.

They really don't stretch that much. Personally I would go with a W33 or W32.

My waist is a hair over 32". I bought the 31s initially and could barely fit in them and they crushed my thighs and I could just barely button the top button. Exchanged it for a W32 and they fit much better around my thighs, but you can still see where the threads are stretched to their max. 

I would shoot Jay over at BlueOwl.us an e-mail and give him your measurements. He's pretty darn good at this stuff.

if you knew they were low rise and you didn't like low rise, you shouldn't have gotten them.  the rise measurements are all over the place and you could easily compare it to a pair you already have

I understand this is the Internet and you can easily sit behind your desk and trash other people but I think you misread what I said. I'm fully aware of the cut and rise of the jeans I purchased. I was only trying to highlight my experience of stretching out of the jeans and the accuracy of the sizing. Someone else also pointed out the difference of the 701 and 705 in terms of shrink to fit vs prewashed which is why I specifically mentioned which ones I had purchased. I apologize if I incorrectly instructed on irrelevant washing instructions.
