The reason why I only buy momotaro jeans is becos of the battle stripes. I have a 0705 for 9 months and now stop wearing them due to the 0702 contest. Will post some pic when I have the time.

Makes no sense, since the 0702 doesn't sport battle stripes.

Sry I wasn't clear earlier. It was actually the story how momotaro carrying a flag with battle stripes that brought me into buying momotaro jeans. So I bought my first momotaro jeans which was 0705 and wearing them was v comfortable fit nicely on me. When I saw the 0702 I ask myself why not try the deep indigo and see how it fade. So it was the gtb stripes that brought me into momotaro jeans. Now regardless of whether is there gtb stripes, I just love the fabric and the fit.

Can anyone post a link to the story of how the stripes came about?

When momotaro(peach boy) was going to battle the ogre, he was carrying a flag with 2 stripes. So people call it the battles stripes. And on the flag there is some Chinese word 日本一 which means Japan no. 1.

The white stripes stand out too much for my personal tastes.  I'd prefer the peach arcs instead of stripes, but if the stripes were a similar color to the fabric, like the midnight warrior, I might go for them.  I don't know if I could resist the grand indigo in a tapered fit no matter what though..

Anybody know if Momotaro made the purple chambray shirt in a 44?
Seems impossible to find...

What do the battle stripes look like on an aged pair of jeans?

You can definitely wear this one daily to the office. Durability wise they will take a beating. Just saying this one is for comfort!
