I thought the "shrinkage" was supposed to be minimal on the 702s?

On the 702s, yes - not on the BOM003s (unsanforized).

EDIT: Kicking off my 702s today. Goodness, I love the cut of these jeans. As my second foray into the 70- cut, I must say that I think this is my jean of jeans. Will definitely be picking this cut up again in some form when they're done and dusted.

I decided to make a Tumblr account on which I can drop pictures of the evolution. Might be cool if I post once a month during the 702 day contest. Would make for some nice documentation.

Agree.  By far my favorite cut.  very subtle taper below the knee on essentially a slim straight cut.
