will pick up a pair of those or 702s soon.  really want to see 702s after a few months as they are a touch too dark for my taste, but if they lose indigo as fast as yours i will be tempted

I reckon the 0702's are fast faders. I have a pair, and while I haven't worn them that much (might be for a total of 7 days), they allready lost indigo on some spots. Buy them, you won't regret it.

Momotaro Denim Restocks - Grand Indigo ER007-2B & Deep Indigo 0702

More restocks from Momotaro are here! In our recent shipment, we have received full restocks of both the Momotaro Deep Indigo 0702 (left) and the Grand Indigo (right) which fills us on all sizes 28-36. Comparing these two denims side x side you can really see how different the color truly is. Essentially they are the same denim. They are using a similar fabric with the same fit and many of the same details, difference is the color. Both feature the sulphur dyed weft, but the warp yarns use a different type of natural indigo dye giving the Grand Indigo a deep sea blue color and the Deep Indigo a dark midnight blue color.

Deep Indigo (right), Grand Indigo (left).

Anyone have any insights on the "copper label" denim? How does it compare to the 0701's denim?

A mistake here. Deep Indigo is on the left.

The denim on the Copper Label is lighter in weight (14.7 vs. 15.7 oz) and comes in one wash only. It has been soaked/washed in the Seto sea, this procedure is said to add valuable minerals to the cotton. Copper Label features different denim than Vintage Label also. They are made using cotton Momotaro also uses for their dress shirts.
Other differences are mostly on visual level and the most important ones are the peach arcuate on the right backpocket (also featured on Euro Label, which the Grand Indigo's are part of), the absence of the white tab, indigo dyed pocket bags and waistband. Riveted leather patch with Japan Blue text and "Momotaro" image, copper coloured hardware.

For lack of a dedicated JapanBlue thread: Fit pics of JB/Momo 400sp. Bought @ -1. Purchased from Blue Owl last week, first day of wear. Chainstitch job by Jay isn't really visible, but perfect. Still a bit snug, but have a feeling these are going to fit perfectly after a few days.

For denim at the $200 range, can't rave enough about these. Construction looks great, fit is good, love the battlestripes, denim is a good weight and texture, and a great mid-indigo color.

yeah they were impossible to button up the first time, but after a few wears they start to fit right
