I'm hoping whoever has a pair will be kind enough to post some fit pics.

You don't have to buy a size 42, and you can hem them. I'm not sure what the problem is.

It's called hemming and ordering YOUR waist size. Not some *****'s size... D'oh.

The reason I buy these is for the 39" inseams. I don't hem them and they fit good (I'm 6'8").

The first page of this thread has some 0201's, plus a link to some 0701's on me (I'm a chunky dude though, so they wouldn't be that tight on everyone). Also, search the WAYWT thread for "Momotaro" - I've got a fit in there as do a couple other posters.

These are my 0701's:

The darker pics are the true color. I was noticing how there are 3 or 4 different thread gauges used on the jeans. Also cool is that the inseam chainstitch was all done in one run, hem to hem. And the denim is so soft! Still rigid but very soft. The top block is cut very well, quite flattering IMO. Love these jeans. Edit: I sized these 1 down from my true measured size but true to the size I buy in slacks.

I took my 0705's to my tailor and asked him what he could do about the pink inseam. He said it wasn't holding anything together and just pulled it out. It's been a few weeks since and no problems.

okey, now this i need to know how you were able to do. did you get the 701s from BiG? the least i could squeeze into w/o damaging the family jewel was a +1... tho TTS prolly is doable on the skinny lot.

did you soak? how long have you been wearin them? were you able to get the [actual] raw measurements? ... and what's the current measurements, pls? just want to get the lowdown on the shrinkage vs stretch ratio.

I got the 0701's bnwt from mlyngard, who got them from BiG. I'm definitely on the skinny side. My true waist is 31, 30 at navel, 32 at hips. I usually buy size 30 dress pants and shorts, size 29 raw denim. I liked BiG's measurements for 29's but mlyngard told me his 30's matched up to the numbers given for 29's, and they do. They fit well pre-soak, were tight for a while after the soak, and now are starting to loosen up a little. I posted post-soak measurements previously, I'll try to get current ones this afternoon, it looks like maybe an inch stretch in the waist.

^ They look good on you John.

Yeah, I'd say TTS on these, or +1, since there will be some shrinking. I'm ordering another pair tomorrow, and going up 1.

I'd be interested to see if you really got the 1" shrink in the waist that the BiG and Context sites say.

Strange, but Context says 2" inseam shrinkage, while BiG says one. That's a big difference...
