Supposedly it is the most consumed meat in the world. Less than 2% in the US though. I've never had it and never plan on it. Not to come off like an ass, but a couple of friends eat goat and they f'in smell just like one.

It's a little gamey, and a little greasy, but I do enjoy a goat curry occassionally.

I can't imagine having it in anything but a curry.

Love goat. Especially a whole roasted young one.

I've had it several times and love it. Once in high school a friend threw a kegger on his farm, dug a pit, built a fire and roasted a goat. Awesome. The other times were Cabrito. Our housekeeper is from Peru and used to have a catering business down there. We had a dinner party and she volunteered to cater it for us (for a fee, obviously). We did all Peruvian food and one of the dishes was Cabrito. Very good.

I've heard of a pig roast before but never a goat roast!

Peruvian food is pretty good in my experience.

I enjoy goat quite a bit. I've really only had it roasted or grilled. Good flavor though.

And the other benefit of goat farming is goat cheese, which is also delicious.

I much rather prefer Goat than lamb. Travlling thru India opened my eyes to "mutton" <--what they call it. it has the consistency of red meat without the lamby taste which IMo is gross. So, kinda like a more tender beef. Yummy.

Though I haven't done it, I think it'd also be good marinated in a bunch of spices and then grilled.

I've had it, and wish it were easier to get buy. I saw this, even though my parents have 15-30 goats depending on what time of year it is.

It's gamey because goats are browsers, compared to grazers. Good in a stew.
