Way too hard to pick. Here's a few off the top of my head for lyrical quality: Boots of Spanish Leather When the Ship Comes In It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding Some of his more playful and fun songs that I like: Bob Dylan's 115th Dream Honey Just Allow Me One More Chance Jet Pilot

"Masters of War" - arguably juvenile and simple, but honest and raw even for a protest song.

Knockin' on Heavens Door (I'm actually surprised I'm the first to mention it)

It's also a great stress-releaver for me when I'm playing it on guitar.

Simple Twist of Fate.

"Shelter From the Storm" is a major favorite of mine. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it. "I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form . . . 'Come in,' she said, 'I'll give you shelter from the storm.' "

Maybe it's because the woman-as-oasis theme strikes a chord with me.

Is there anyone else who feels a need to roar out the lyrics while listening to most of the songs on Highway 61 Revisisted? I can't help myself and feel especially silly when I'm in traffic with the windows rolled down.

I was thinking about posting this, but apparently he jacked the melody from some other folk singer. Still, I'm right there with you, one of my all time favorites.

I also greatly enjoy "Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll" and "Girl From the North Country" (both versions from Freewheelin' and Nashville).

I really love this version. Dylan with The Band in 1971.
