Hi everyone, maybe I'm not measuring myself right dunno.
frown.gif

Chest: 37" maybe 38"
Neck 15.5"
Sleeve: 34/35"

Looking for a contemporary/slim fit, don't like baggy stuff. After browsing through these forums, I'm under the impression that aside from bespoke, my best option would be Ralph Lauren Black Label or something like that? Please help, gotta go home to sort out some urgent matters and need to look the part.

Your neck and sleeve combo are common- but your thin so I hear what you are saying.

Did you go through this thread? Long but worth it- perhaps start later in as it's been going on for some time: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=35147

Looking for dress shirts? How fast do you need them? There are modestly priced made to order (not bespoke) options at many tailors and online.

I have to leave by next week. I'm in Raleigh, NC, and in this kind of place there isn't anything decent....

I'll follow the link. Thank you for the prompt reply.

RLBL/RLPL would actually fit you pretty nicely. I am about the same measurements except my arms are shorter, so the sleeves are always too long.

Thanks guys, I had a hunch, I appreciate the feedback. I'll report back with my findings, in case fellow deviants with irregular body shapes are in the same boat.

your measurements aren't that uncommon--mine are almost identical. true, very few off the rack shirts will fit, but that's only because most shirts are made to fit the average (slightly tubby) american.

just buy any shirt made of decent material that fits your neck and shoulders. any tailor should be able to taper the sides and sleeves (and shorten sleeves if necessary) to give you a custom fit. average service should be about 2-3 days and cost somewhere between $15 and $25. if you pay a little extra they may do overnight if you need the shirt urgently.

you'll have an easier time finding shirts this way and it will probably be a lot cheaper than rlbl/rlpl.

fwiw--if you really need something otr that fits now and are more concerned about fit than quality, shirts from the mall store "express" will fit guys like us pretty decently. absolute garbage quality, but they'll get the job done if you're really in a pinch.

Still can't believe my good fortune.

At this rate, I'll be saying "thank you" over a hundred times before the end of the day.
