The Definitive Buffalo Wing Thread - Page 6

this might be unusual, but I don't like my wings meaty, I really like them crispy without that much meat. I don't know why, but that is what I prefer.

^ I prefer a crispy wing also...

I can agree with the above statements. I like my meat as much as the next guy but there needs to be just enough but not too much.

I can't believe that I've missed out on this thread thus far.

They are a source of great pride here, so most restaurants and bars take the time to do them well.
I haven't found any good ones either. Growing up in the area spoiled me.

Anchor Bar's wings are good, but I think they are pushing their brand cache by charging $9 for 10 wings.

Duffs are better than AB by far. It's just that everyone outside Buffalo knows AB.

I'm honestly not a fan of the seeds on the roll so I end up rubbing quite a few of them off. It's a delicious sandwich that way though.

It really is. All there is to do is eat and drink. Add to the fact that you have Jims, mighty, and 3 different pizza places near any major bar area and it's a recipe for disaster. And bars are open till 4....

La Nova does some pretty killer BBQ off the pit wings along with the place by where I grew up in Clarence. For those of you who go to Buffalo Wild wings ask for them extra crispy and they'll be much better.

Deep fried wings + franks + butter is all you need.

Another great off-the-menu at BWW is the "dry rub" which is a wing straight out of the fryer then rolled around in their cajun spice. It's not a buffalo wing, per se, but it tastes good. I love weck.. but you can't really get it outside Buffalo that I know of.. so I take solace in an everything bagel being as close as I'm going to get... but it ain't the same thing.
