What's with the separate threads asking "which is the best"?

I have several and they are head and shoulders above everything else I own (charvet, barba, borrelli, brioni, lorenzini, maffeis).

Never had any from Anna Matuozzo, but I must say that the Barba, Maffeis, Isaia and Borrelli have some of the nicest cotton available. And I own many other brands to which I can compare these.

why do i never see much love for ascot chang around here?

i love their shirts. great fit, fabric, collar... what more can you ask for you?

Which location do you use?
The guys at the Beverly Hills store are driving me crazy. This is my second order with them in 4 years so we're starting over. The first shirt isn't fitting quite right (some parts fit but whole shirt rolls back) and they're asking me what and how much to change.

MyTailor seems easier to work with; granted, Ascot Chang has better finishing.

Beaten to death topic. Pre 2009, Borrelli shirts up there with the best. Shirts available today appear entirely machine made. Still good fabric, MOP buttons etc, better than most but no longer a shirt to drool over .

I think some of them lost MOP buttons as well.  Not as good as it used to be

actually never did custom. all purchases have been over the phone with the new york store. they have far exceded all my expectations. once there was a shirt that was dicontinued and the guy called around and no one had it. so he called over to hong kong, found out they still had the fabric and had a single shirt made up for me, forgoing the 4 shirt minimum.

I think AC makes a great shirt for the price.

in stitches, that's really nice of the NY store. I wonder if you worked with Justin? He's the younger generation of the fam. The NY store had a student discount years ago and he was kind enough to extend the offer to LA orders. Damn, why didn't I think to go to the NY store?

edit: I've heard good things about a few of the HK locations. I've visited but never ordered. Well, off to see them and MyTailor tomorrow to figure out the first shirts...
