Careers that combine blue collar & white collar?

Thread Starter
What are some careers that combine both blue collar work (some manual labor/exercise) and white collar (education, office work) work?

The first that comes to mind is nursing, maybe FBI or similar advanced law enforcement. What else is there? If you can think of anything where an accounting education would be useful, that would be a plus

Thanks

My father (technically electrical, but certified for electrical and structural) is an engineer. He has since moved into operating commercial and industrial real estate, but he frequently gets contracts to make inspections on property which often involves a decent bit of physical work as well as a decent pair of work boots along with a reasonable tolerance for mud.

Depends on how much labor you're looking for, but if you are a manager in any sort of manufacturing or construction environment, you can get plenty of time in the field or on the factory floor. I have stumbled into a social circle with a lot of civil and environmental engineers in construction management positions. They use their brains all day but they wear boots to work. Chicks in NYC offices dig a well-dressed guy with impeccable shoes climbing out of an elevator pit.
