Pictures of cuff styles

I'd go for a turned back button cuff. I believe that they're also called cocktail cuffs. On the left in the pic below. A nice french cuff is great as well.

No picture, but one button, rounded barrel cuff for me whenever I have the option.

I love the look of turned back cuffs (mostly seen in early James Bond films), are there any RTW options which feature that style?

French cuffs. Barrell cuffs with two buttons for my button downs..

My absolute favorite is the rounded french cuff with the cuff and collar being of slightly stiffer than normal material to give it that crisp and solid look, however I usually reserve that for more formal ocassions. If your shirts are going to be worn without jackets, I think 1 button barrel cuffs are the way to go, though I sometimes wear french cuff shirts without jackets.

I strongly prefer convertible cuffs. Can dress them up with cuff links, or use buttons for those times you don't want to be too flashy.

If you don't have a strong sense of what you want going in, you should just get standard one-button rounded barrel cuffs. You may regret it later if you get something more unusual and decide you hate it after wearing it for a while.
