Regardless of whether I'm on StyleForum (and as I recall, forum is spelled with a U and not a V), if you are honestly griping about living on $250,000, someone needs to deliver you a reality check. People raise families on 20% of that. If you can't live on $250,000, you need a financial counselor. I never thought I'd see the day where someone would be unhappy with a salary of "only" $250,000. One can live extravagantly on that salary. /rant

I love these pissing contest threads. $250K is plenty of money to live comfortably, if it is enough to live "extravagantly" or not is a matter of personal choice. Given that we are on Style Forum, extravagant living generally means multi-million dollar+ home or apartment, $100K+ vehicles, and a closet full of bespoke suits and John Lobb shoes. Let's not forget nicely aged bottles of Rothschild, etc. etc. etc. To others, extravagant is a nice vacation each year, $400K house, nice car ($30-40K), having enough for going out to nice dinners, golf, etc. Lots of people here have problems with being a prole/bourgeois and grandiose dreams/egos that don't reflect reality. Self hatred must suck.
