So I was forced to take my fall back job (iBank in NYC) and will only be making $250k a year.

Is this possible to live off of?

You're probably going to have to surrender the Equinox membership and bi-weekly luncheons at the Four Seasons. I really don't know how someone can live like that. You have my sympathies.

Do you still live in your parents basement?
If not, you may want to consider it...

my parents spend most of their time in europe or the islands, so I don't think that's really an option.

I don't know what I'm going to do for a place. I can't imagine living in an apartment.

Some of you people don't live in the same world as regular Americans. Of course you can live on $250 000 a year. You may have to wear some clothes twice, but that is just life. Deal.

I don't think this is a reasonable expectation for a Top 10 Business school graduate. Obama is ruining this country.

Tell you what, Tigger, it'll probably mean the end of your multi-bespoke shirt-buying sprees every month at those French temples of bespoke. You also won't be able to order Savile Row suits or Lavabre-Cadet kidskin gloves at a whim, and no more shopping trips to Cassina. In addition, you may have to buy store brand club soda instead of Chateldon and use a Brita instead of buying Evian bottles. The massages and haircuts at Desfosse may go out the window as well. In addition, Tom Park may grow old waiting for your follow-up EG TD orders. And only one pair of Iron Hearts with silver rivets a year.
