just picked up tixs to the LA Mayan show. at this point in my life, i need to feel a rock show and figure this would do the trick.

please discuss all things Jack White! The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, the Cold Mountain soundtrack, and the Kills. (i'm sure i'm missing a whole bunch of other side projects)

i'm actually a fairly new fan but the latest Kills and Dead Weather albums freakin' rock.

allison mosshart is pretty amazing. the vid for "treat me like your mother" equally so:

hell fucking yeah. plus listening to her reintroduced me to Christina Spencer (Pussy Galore, JSBX, Boss Hog) and Jennifer Herrema (Royal Trux, RTX).

kicking myself for missing the Kills earlier this year.

as cool as all these side projects are, i wish that jack would record with meg , well... that meg would record and tour [had tickets lined up for the cancelled show in Lincoln a while back]. also, a new record from the greenhornes would be good [i don't know that they are still doing their thing or not though].

I don't know how i feel about the dead weather.




if you like jack white, you should check out THE GO a band he was in just prior to or soon after the white stripes blew up... very detroit rock sound IMO.

the girl in the kills (dunno why i'm blanking on her name right now) was a complete mess when i saw her live. slurring her words on the mic to the point where i couldn't hear anything, and about 3/4 through the set she was so drunk/fucked up that she just leaned on the speakers while she "sang"

I liked the Death Weather album until I put in the Dan Auerbach album again...then I realized that Jack White is the smooth jazz equiv. of the blues/rock scene...
