Any tennis players on here?
What do you wear when you play?

I'm a big poseur so I wear Federer's Nike outfits for matches and just regular lululemon workout gear for practice.

Tee and tennis shorts....barricade III shoes and my sticks are Nc0de 95's

I have black Nike tennis shorts. I love them not just for tennis, they are just the right length (not too long, an inch or two above the knees) and I love the pockets for when I need my keys/wallet/phone at the gym or quick stop to the grocery down the block. I would play shirtless if it were allowed, but I just wear a white hanes tshirt with them, or an old T with the sleeves and sides cut off.

The Barricade line is the best thing to happen to tennis shoes. My sticks right now are ooold school Sampras Pro Stafs 85/90.

... Tennis specific shorts and any shirt.

I'm actually a bit compulsive about tennis wear, as I am about my office pants and other office clothing. - I only wear polo shirts, never a tee shirt. - I only wear no-show socks. I hate for any of my sock to show. - I only wear white shoes. A bit of color is fine, but the predominant color should be white. I hate the look of black or dark blue (or, god forbid, other colors). I tend to prefer Adidas stuff because I like that their patterns/designs are relatively simple (e.g. large blocks of colors) and achieved through sewn panels of materials, vs. prints. I hate the printed patterns you see on a lot of Nike and other stuff. I have a white cotton mock-neck half-zip sweater that I love to wear for my apres-tennis. It's very country club. I prefer a medium-length to slightly shorter short. Obviously not ball-huggers, but I tend to dislike the shorts that come down and hit at the knee or slightly below. And I hate the Nadal capris - though I like Nadal, I think anyone who wears those as a rec player is a total tool. Tennis is a gentleman's game, and you should look like a gentleman when you play.

Respectfully (like a gentleman) disagree

Im still a kid compared to you guys but my friends and I play shirtless at the public courts (tanning while you play tennis, hah) Anyway, Nike Ballistec 1.3 Head FXP Prestige Favorite shorts and shirt are a nike combo I got at the Nike outlet in Woodbury.

Usually Asics Gel Resolution shoes and some dri-fit shirt and shorts. Most of those I have are made by Nike or Adidas. If it's hot out and I want a tan I go shirtless.

LOL @ all these tennis dress rules. But I shouldn't be surprised, considering it's SF.

White. What else?

Adidas and Nike for tennis gear. Both make good stuff. Adidas Barricades are the shit. I've had like 5 pairs of Barricade II's. The II's hold up better than the III and IV do. And you gotta wear long socks. Not like over the calf, but not no-show or ankle socks or some bullshit like that. When I was playing college tennis (2 years ag) and we saw that we would be playing against someone who wasn't wearing crew socks, we knew it'd be a free win.

Rackets: Babolat Pure Drive + (Non Cortex)
Strings: Technifibre (Bi Phase Mains, RedCode Crosses)
Shoes: Asics Gel Resolutions, Nike Breathe Free III's (still hanging on), Adidas Clima Cools
Clothes: Mix of Adidas, Nike, and Lacoste (only when steeply discounted)

jeez, tennis steez is serious. i just wear what ever shorts and a t-shirt normally. runners are fine and i like a shoe without much grip as i slide allot also i play predominantly on "clay" so whatever white shoes i wear will be brown after 5 minutes of play.
