My Skincare Routine (please comment/criticize)

Hey guys, I've just started a new skincare routine and would like you to comment or criticize on it. I'm 20, my skin is fair, combination (oily at the T-zone, with blackheads) and sensitive (not ultra sensitive though), with ocasional pimples. My main concerns are: 1- prevent aging, and 2- get rids of blackheads and enlarged pores. This is my current regiment:

AM
- Kiehl's Blue herbal Cleanser (1,5% salicilic acid, helps esfoliate skin and pores)
- Toner - I'm not using one at the moment, I would like you to reccomend me one, alchool-free, with BHA (salicilic acid)
- La Roche-Posay Active C serum (5% vitamin C serum)
- Clinique Men Anti-Aging moisturizing SPF15 (lots of antioxidants, broad-spectrum sun protection)

PM
- Kiehl's Blue herbal Cleanser
- Toner (same thing)
- La Roche-Posay Effaclar K (2% BHA solution, applied at T-zone only)
- Clinique Super-Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer (very well formulated, lots of antioxidants like the AM moisturizer)

Sometimes I use the Active C serum at night also, after the BHA solution.

once every 5 days: Clinique 7-Day Scrub, followed by DDF sulfur mask

That's it. The BHA solution and toner are aimed at reducing blackheads and pore size, I've been using it for a few days now and can see some improvement. The Active C serum, the AM and PM moisturizers are aimed at preventing aging. I was wondering, am I too young to use a 5% vitamin C serum? What do you think? And what about my regiment in general?

Thank's in advance

Why so many products and so many different brands together? How long do you have to spend on this routine daily? here's few to check out: http://www.squidoo.com/skincareforme...facialcleanser

It's just cleanser + serum + moisturizer, daily. Not that many products really.

I'll check the website.

Water > towel. Be a man ffs!

Plain water, moisturizer, once a week exfoliation.

That seems like more trouble than its worth. I don't even know what some of those things are supposed to do. Toner? Serum? Putting all those chemicals on your face can't be healthy for your skin. My face regimen is Cleanser > Moisturizer > Sunscreen.

Here's my criticism:

No matter how hard you try to be a beautiful woman, you will always be a man. Face it... literally.

Here's my comment:

It's "regimen," dude, not "regiment." Regimen is a routine. Regiment is a grouping of soldiers.

I have said this many times before, but skin products and skin routines are really hard to critique/comment or recommend, given the vast variation in skin types. You might NEED a fifteen step process, where others need only some water and a cheap moisturizer.

As such, it seems like what you are doing might be fine, assuming that you have skin that needs that kind of upkeep. If you have fairly normal skin, you might not need all that much skin care at this stage and might just be wasting your money. Most 20 year olds really do not need much upkeep except for a fairly inexpensive moisturizer and a cleanser.

And, note, I say this as a major hypocrite, because I do like a 50 step daily skin process with skin creams made from ground nightingale shit and unicorn testicals. But, I`m an idiot and freely admit that it isn`t necessary; a $10 L`oreal cream would probably do me just fine, given my pretty standard skin type.

Wow... that's quite a routine you have there.

I say just continue to use the kiehl's face wash and go straight to a moisturiser - don't really know what toner does and that other thing you put on.

I use Biotherm T-Pur wash and moisturiser. I exfoliate twice per week and do a mud mask after a heavy night's drinking and time in the sun the next day.
