I went with Nigel Cabourn instead of CG, which is on the same price point when its on sale (like right now on Marrkt). Its at least 85% goose down fill and very technical, offering same degree of warm.

Parajumper, moncler, norrona, axteryx veilance, have look in the tech outerwear thread.

Honestly CG is fine as long as you don't go bragging about it. Who cares.

That thread is mostly populated by thin, urban city jackets that won't withstand a cold snap IMO. Off the top of my head and based off of recent research, I'd look into Nigel Cabourn, Moncler, Fjallraven, Norse Projects and Herno. Feel free to add any others into the fray.
Canada Goose stuff is alright, but for some reason I tend to think they look a bit better on women...

Hey Everyone,

I want to order a CG Chateau or Langford jacket. I am not sure which size to order though. I talked to people from moosejaw and mr porter online and they both would say I am a size Small. Regarding to the CG charts I am a M though. According to Mr Porters measurements, the chateau jacket size Small has a chest width of 108cm, which would seemingly fit perfect to my chest size. I want to avoid the parka to become to pluffy.

I am 176-177cm tall which is 5 feet and 9/10 inch. My chest is 97cm's wide (about 38-39 inch), and I am fairly athletic build. I would like to be able to wear a thick sweater under the jacket! And I am talking about just a regular tshirt and a knitted sweater for example, so fairly layered up.

Hope you can help me out here! Thanks!

With CG Chilliwack, go a size up from the usual size you wear because it does run small.  What I normally wear in size Large,  I find that the Chilliwack is perfectly sized in Extra Large.  CG parkas like the Chateau or Langford are the opposite, so you would likely go down a size from the one you usually wear. If I wanted a Chateau parka, I'd probably be happy with Medium.

I'm the same size and I wear medium/large, my constable was a large.
