Long story short. Met a girl, asked for her number. Was completely ignored. Thing is, I will try to get it again, only this time I will do it in person.

Same. Most girls with any hint of class won't be obnoxious or rude when they do it - just drop hints and hope you get it.

One time I was chatting with this friend of a friend, and 2 sentences in we were like "yeah . . . no" and went off in opposite directions. Another time I set my friend up with this girl I was chatting with in a bar. I excused myself to leave them alone, and he told me she just left mid-sentence while he was talking.

I went to a Mexican dive bar with a bunch of Brazilians who were jiu jitsu instructors. I was drank and tried to dance with this Mexican chick. She rejected me, in Spanish. They laughed at me, in Portuguese.

one friend takes rejection as a challenge__ he likes rolling a hard six. my other friend go by statistic probabilities, so he does not take rejections personally. i, on the other hand, don't take rejection too well, so i look [for signs] before i leap.

Is asking for her number considered a leap?
