I will also add that since the recession, many more are wearing suits to the office. Anything thing to impress and keep your job. The adage of dressing like the job you want not the one you have applies more than ever.

Unless your suit is too nice and they come to the conclusion that they are paying you too much, and making you redundant will save the firm more $ than sacking the bloke wearing Rockports and eco-fleece
