The humans who own the dog did that every Friday and Saturday night with about 75 of their closest friends, loud music, yelling, fireworks, motorcycle racing

Called the cops four times and haven't heard a peep since from the humans, now it's the fucking dog

We, (me and their dog), fell asleep at 6am, I woke up noon. So tired

Going to buy some earplugs for now. If this keeps up I'm considering grinding up aspirin into a meatball

Why kill the dog? Just walk next door and ask the neighbors to keep the dog inside because of barking.

If they themselves won't stop lighting off fireworks at 3am, why would they stop their dog from barking

It was actually quiet last night though. What I didn't count on is that while they give two shits for anyone else, when they decide to sleep and their sleep is interrupted they will do something about it. The dog doesn't bark when everyone is up disrupting the entire neighborhood.

I think the problem that a lot of people have is that they assign their own level of common sense to other people. Unless people are confronted they won't feel any pressure to stop bad behavior. It doesn take being a tough guy or a jerk, just say "Hey, were you guys lighting off fire crackers at 3:00am?, well you know you have neighbors." Will they think you're an a-hole, probably, but they'll be on notice that people are monitoring their behavior.
