1. MENSA seems like one of the saddest clubs to which to belong.

2. Yeah, I know that criterion, but I think that it's highly flawed, not least because IQ tests are inaccurate and imo, a poor measure of anything non-trivial.  It's like saying that really tall people have the potential to be good basketball players.

I played LoL a lot when I was in between jobs. It was a sad life.

On another note, the word "genius" is ridiculously overused.  True genius is rare.  I can't possibly believe that everyone out there knows a genius.  I have met and known some bonafide geniuses, but I can't say that I've met any real geniuses (sp?) outside of the top academic institutions.  I've met a couple who are probably borderline geniuses.  Maybe the need to call other people geniuses stems from a deep desire to not be forced to self-identify as a moron.  Personally, I find it comforting that the world keeps on turning when most of us are just barely functioning, and that includes a lot of people who are generally regarded as being high achieving.

Best moment of the whole weekend was the Axe 4-stock in under a minute during his top-8 match.  (Super Smash Brothers: Melee)

Relive the greatness.

I was top 250 in preseason 3... quit the game for good and never felt better.

People play this game competitively? haha, had no clue. .. I didn't even know there was a correct way to play it.
Also why is that dude playing on a CRT that looks like its from 1995?

They only play on CRT. The gamecube has some lag when played with LCD monitors.

Actually, Melee is entering what they're calling it's Platinum Age, i.e. there was once a golden age where it was in MLG for a while, and it faded after that, but now MLG picked it up again (as well as other major tourneys like EVO) and the viewership/playership has massively increased.

People play on CRTs because they minimize lag.  It's incredibly important in a game that's very timing intensive (attacks like Fox's shine are 1-frame long, his back air is 39-frames with damage starting at 4, etc...).

There were almost 1k entrants this year to EVO for SSBM alone.

I don't know what is happening, but I do know my old Nick shows. When it comes to Hey Arnold! I just remember the crazy train one because it freaked me out

Miss Angry Beavers/Kenan & Kel the most though
