vtb's new collection: http://www.voidthebrand.com/collections/all

They changed the dimensions of their shirts so that they look like regular AA tees now.

That's funny, but you also forgot the floodgate of runners everywhere in SF.

Man the Mihara woven leather coat I got from rakuten is amazing, so comfortable and surprisingly not that heavy, probably could wear it every morning year round probably.

Many of the ones I went to school with are still young adults with little money to be spending time browsing the internet for things to buy, especially when the good art schools cost a fortune compared to your typical four year colleges/universities. They work their ass off during the school year, in class, and out. Fashion week alone for them is exhausting, and many aren't even presenting something.

What do you consider major designers? Mainstream? Name dropped in every hip hop/r&b song? appealing to both the mens, and women's market? a hot brand in the moment like Rick Owens?

Having a huge influence in the industry? like Marc Jacobs, Raf Simons, Rei, Yohji, McQueen... Iris Van Herpen is in my opinion, a major designer, but she doesn't really fit the bill of the above, and most people don't know jack about her, in school or out.

Are you pointing out the cluelessness of some people embedded in 'fashion'?

I quite like the idea of making brilliantly made clothing while not paying attention to all that bullshit. Could imagine Yohj being like that one upon a time..

A lot of the people I've met in that field are just "art" people who chose clothes as their medium. They're not exactly "fans" of fashion as much.

What is being a 'fan of fashion' though? Knowing the history of dior? Watching every single mcqueen show?

I do not know about half of the stuff that's been and gone, and I don't really feel like I have to know. In academia especially, it's almost like a rat race to know all the shit.

I find it strange that someone could be in a creative field and not know of their major predecessors and contemporaries. Maybe it's not as important in fashion? Or perhaps most people trying to enter the fashion industry just fail after spending their college bucks.

Well that particular designers predecessor then ye you're going to know. It would be a feat to not know. But maybe all the bullshit politics, speculation and goss in the peripheral sense, turns some 'creatives' off, as it will with a lot of people. Including me. Turning your back to that isn't turning your back to fashion. At times, even just the word 'fashion' turns me off.

You're right my buddy has met tons of people in NY who are into fashion design who don't know dick about designers. They say stuff like prada and dolce and such.

You've just moved to a new city. You're lost, but it's 6:00 am on a Saturday and no one's around. Luckily you see a guy in his workout gear, standing with his back turned:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Even though his sweats have lost their shape, he looks perfectly normal. You tap him on the shoulder to ask for directions. He turns around

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

A silent shriek escapes your mouth. This man is from the internet. You run.

Saw a guy earlier who was out for a run in full Gyakusou.
