Dude, I know you're trying to be ironic but I'm interested in a shitload of things, I just know how to summarily dismiss the shitty taste everyone else seems to display.

If you go further south or north east it's a lot cheaper. A lot of people move to the north east, areas like shoreditch, which i guess are like brooklyn. I would rather live there to be honest, but it's not convenient for uni. Anything south west like kensington is a fair bit more expensive.

Shoreditch and Islington isn't cheap, as there's a lot of city guys live there.

I've only had issues once and that was with homeless people, but I don't go out drinking at night, so I don't experience stuff like that, also I'm scandinavian, so I could be immune.

They are fairly cheap. Can get a room for like $220 a week easily, which is like 2/3 of what it costs to live more centrally.

Had a homeless guy try kill himself in front of me on the strand a week ago. Threw himself in front of a car, very dramatic. He was having some feels.

Islington was the hip, rising place like 10 yrs ago, it is now fully $$$-ed. Honestly you'd have to go pretty far to find a cheap place in LDN.

Well studio at say, 1K USD or less would be a start. I mean considering the 10K budget, I mean if he wants to find a job and stuff then yeah, he can manage, otherwise it is like 4 months in London.

Haha yeah if he wants to live by himself on 1k a month he can live in surrey. If he doesn't mind flat mates though he could probably live in shoreditch.

What people don't mention though is that food and drinks can be quite cheap so as long as you have a place to sleep you can manage on a lower budget than in an American city. Same with NYC.

Just watched the Top Gear Burma special couple days ago and it looks like a beautiful place to visit. Although, (at least from the show), the more majestic views seem to be quite a bit away from any major city. Not sure if foreigners can just rent a car and drive off by themselves.

In London or in general?

Fun fact, a large part of East London was bought up in the 80's and 90's by a former Morgan Stanley banker, who now rents it all out, he bought some of the places for less than £25.000 and they are now worth north of £500k.

Irony aside, i am curious what are you interested in outside of fashion? Seems like you like art, travel, etc...

Who does so much walking on vacation anyways? If I have to walk too much it's not a vacation. I work out all year to completely bum it for 2 weeks dammit

Eh, I'm just not a "sit on the beach" type of dude. I really want go out to see and learn interesting things. Different strokes is all.

Resort was probably stoked we didn't get anywhere close to our money's worth haha.

Well I am exaggerating of course. Dental clinics are very stressful so I enjoy just sitting and doing nothing for a week or two (I need 5 or 6 a year). Ive been doing it for a while now but I usually do 4-6 different beaches every vacation. My goal is to see all of them in the Caribbean (the Bahamian cays are never-ending) and to me there is nothing more relaxing than laying there and taking a nap. Theres Is a reason I talk about this all the time

Mostly what you'd expect, let's just say I'm more Heiner Müller than Dan Brown.

Stuff Fuuma likes (generalities):
-art including photog, just lent a Francesca Woodman artbook to a friend
-design disciplines (industrial, fashion, graphic, architecture)
-alcohol(ism?) & cigarettes
-philosophy and literature, hell even some sci-fi
-classical and electronic music, some (post) punk
-cinema
-girl's mangas (less expected I guess)
-people watching at cafés and generally wandering around
-concrete
-colonial remnants
etc.

i, for one, am legitimately surprised that fuuma admitted to liking shoujo and josei manga.
