Dr. Dre, aka Andre Young, who will join Apple following the finalization of its acquisition of Beats Electronics, has been profiled by The Wall Street Journal in a piece that gives a look at his work philosophy, his character, and the role he will play at Apple. The music mogul is said to have a "perfectionist impulse," a penchant for being short with words, and a disregard for artificial deadlines, which could cause friction at Apple. "I'm not feeling that," he'll say when he doesn't like an idea presented to him. The Wall Street Journal compares his attitude to that of Steve Jobs.

Another old brand that makes luggage? Belongs to Arnault (like LVMH) but not the LVMH group. Basically owning any fucking luggage brand that says old french luxury so you always end up buying from the dude.

I personally find Beats to be shit, especially compared to any other headphone brands in the same price bracket (AKG, Beyerdynamic etc. etc.), plus I don't like the design, Apple at least from my experience seems to be a quality product, my MBP works a lot better than all PC I have dealt with.

The new iPhones seems to have gone down in quality though.

Sonos would have made more sense.

You know why none of the truly high end headphone companies bitch about Beats being awful? They've seen a rise in sales and interest from people whose first exposure to "more than stock headphones" was Beats.

Apple's stock split went through today. They might move to the Dow?

Yeah I have noticed an increase in people who have an interest in quality headphones over the last 5 years.

I have noticed the local high end "headphone shop" has beats sitting next to aiaiai TMA-1, Beyerdynamic DT-770 and a couple others who all retail under Beats Studio, I would love to know how many people buy Beats after listening the other ones.

The stock is climbing back up and is now over opening.

I'm sorry most of us aren't into 18th century french philosophers

Unless you need them to listen to classical music at home, IEMs are usually the better option.

People keeps mentioning the streaming service, but I have never heard about outside of the accusation talk, so it being worth any money seems crazy to me and I don't see why they couldn't develop one them self for far less and with apples following, they would be able to get the same amount of subscribers within a short period of time.

I don't own one, I have a 3GS, as I can't get myself to pay $1000+ for a phone (yes that is what they cost in europe), when the one I have works, but most of my friends seem to all consent that the newer ones break easier.
