To me the best feeling is when you pay full price for an item, receive it and know straight away that it was worth it.

For me, the only items worth owning are the ones for which I am willing to pay full price. If they happen to go on sale, it's a bonus. Some things are ok to own only if they go on sale, but more often than not, I wind up unhappy with them. Or, I wind up thinking that they will tide me over until I get that thing that I really want, which can be a never ending cycle of spending money on things I don't absolutely want/like. It's best to avoid buying stuff mostly because it's on sale.

This is pretty similar to my thoughts. If something is a must have (or grail) item, it's worth a lot more to me than "filler" items, which are good enough for me to wear, but I don't feel bad passing on them, but if those filler items go on sale, it makes them easier to justify. I try not to buy things for the sole reason being that they're on sale since that's where I find my regrets come from.

The best feeling is when you buy something on a whim and it turns out to be one of the best ******* item you own.

^^ Oh I have an items-koplist too but it's stored somewhere in the back of my mind, I found that approach stiffling after a while, methodical.

From the autumn 2011 collection...intelligence fading into passion...
When intelligence departs, you are left with...Odyn Vovk.
:foo:

Haha **** you guys, I'm gonna be a Jedi one day AND THEN YOU WILL SEE

But seriously that writing is ridiculous, but 1. that's blackbird, and 2. wtf are they supposed to say about it? Um, okay guys yeah, this is a ******* Dracula cape, uh yeah its real cute.
It's not like its any worse than #menswear #classic #timeless BS, its just a different genre. Or any marketing for that matter

I don't enjoy drooling over an item for weeks while I save, hoping for a sale, hoping they'll still have my size once I actually want to purchase. No, not fun. All my favorite stuff was random finds.

True, no worse, but just as bad. I sometimes wonder why they bother with marketing copy like that. Just tell me the dimensions and what it's made of and give me some decent pictures of it. I feel bad for the suckers who have to write that stuff. Because what the hell do you say about a cape that doesn't sound moronic?

Also, the guy who wrote that article is Blackbird's Alden specialist iirc

^Hah. I suspect if he's an Alden specialist he probably had no idea what to say about Odyn (those two aesthetics don't often overlap). They should've cut the copy down to this: "This cape, from the autumn 2011 collection, is made of blah blah blah [they don't say on the site]. The shoulders are oversized and slouch while the sleeves are close fitting. The body of the garment is ample but also gathers around the frame of the wearer such that it can be layered with pieces over top or underneath it."

Does Barney's carry Buttero in their B&M stores, or online only? Should I just call individual stores to see if they have my size? (Way too lazy/helpless to figure out myself)
