I like Santa Maria Novella's "Russa".  The masking fear thing, works for me.

creed's green irish tweed and hermes's terre d'hermes is like the common projects and APCs of SF fragrances. recently l'incandescent introduced me to malaise of the 1970s by etat libre d'orange and i really loved it. it's well priced too at $80 for 50 mL

i also really like tom ford's tuscan leather for a darker scent

Aqua-velva aftershave, original.  Smells nice and clean, cheap at the local pharmacy, and doesn't have a yucky musk that all your colleagues will hate.

Going to be traveling through Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, and Vienna in the near future - likely not going to be doing a ton of shopping, but any must-sees while I'm passing through?

Pretty much. I'm wearing tuscan leather a lot for an all day type scent. A couple seasonal Creeds and some random Amouage / Mona di Orio decants.

I wear GIT if anything, but I'm trying out CdG Amazingreen to see if it makes the rotation. I am incredibly picky about my scents and GIT (and hopefully Amazingreen) is one of the few that makes my nose go, "Wow."

And I can't get rid of it either, because the girlfriend loves it on me. She always tells me that the smell of booze, Green Irish Tweed, and tobacco smells like me to her. (We met in college, and most of our interactions were at the bar. Hence the booze and the tobacco on my breath)

How's the sizing on Anderson's belt? If I'm a 31, should I be looking for a 32 or 34?

Generally, 90cm works for me.

34. i am also 30-31 waist - using a 34 (32 was too short). they make nice belts

I like and wear GIT, but admit it's a bit generic. For something more interesting, I like L'Artisan Parfumeur's Timbuktu. FWIW, it got high marks from Luca Turin in his book Perfumes.

The BBC has a nice documentary on Turin, for those interested

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
