Out here most of the Mandarin speaking people are Taiwanese people in tech/finance. The Cantonese people are manual labor/small business owners.

I work outside pretty much all the time so summer hats are in, I just don't like wearing hats if I'm just hangin out or something. Winter I am covered in a cap pretty much all the time. It's at about 7inches right now, and I don't know how long until I can actually start putting it up. I figure I might as well do it since Asian hair is terrible and you end up looking like a dork regardless of what you do, so maybe I can just look like a samurai dork sometime in the future

I didn't got to the barber for 9 months, I got my reminder, but I was like its winter I don't leave the house without my knitted hat, so fuck it.

I only speak Cantonese as a second language. Never learned Mandarin because I'm lazy. Maybe it's just me, but Mandarin sounds very harsh in the sense syllables sound particularly accentuated.

Why is it so damn hard to find a clean non-smoking apartment in DC. Jesus.

More power to you. I'd say stay in the fight for the hair you want.

Lol. This reminds me, why is that all the bad kids/criminals depicted in Chinese/Japanese entertainment whether it's anime or movies, typically have blonde hair?

Close to half of Vancouver speaks something other than english at home. I want to tackle one language or the other one of these days...

I don't remember what were the main reasons, but if I recall from a news article, Canada is much more appealing than the United States, for immigration. As for the whole cantonese/mandarin thing, I always assumed most Cantonese speaking people in North America, came from the province of Canton.

What bothers you about it? I can only understand the annoyance of them coming over from the point of view of buying real estate. A lot of them pay up front, the entire cost of the house, in cash, here in New York. Many of them even pay more than what the house is put up for.

Combing it after a shower, as you blow dry speeds up the growth process, of course, it helps to eat, and have a healthy life style too; I hear juicing fruits, and veggies is a great way to speed up the process too. At least, for me, that is what I noticed back when I use to keep my hair up in a quiff/side parting hair cut.
