Thanks, Parker. Appreciate the input. I'm cool with it being minimized a bit, so that's good to hear. Really just want to get it down from Devoa level to more like CCP level pagoda. Will take it by the tailor to see what he says.

My bros - Electric Blue Margiela Jacket all over the place this season...

I need some slippers badly right now. I am mulling over some Hermes or Butero (very Bottega Veneta though) Any recs in this minimal leather style would be welcomed

Before it is said.....they both have Margiela connections so it counts to me

The Hermes. They aren't for anything except indoors and maybe your porch, though.

Really? haha I wear this stuff with suits man. Margiela right now doesn't have the right color I am looking for. The Hermes I wan to get my hands on are the Navy or Navy croc (I think) ones from this season. I'm still waiting to hear back from them.

^ those look absolutely beautiful but how long do you think they will last / can you wear out on the streets?

Do you have any positive experiences with this brand? Nice price point too. Hermes is upwards of 1k

I don't know if you are talking about the ones I posted or the link by Synth, but I wear my Margiela leather ones all the time (with a clear rubber sole) and they are holding up nicely, I'd imagine these leather soled ones would hold up even better

Have you looked into Mcqueen loafers? They are well made and the shape is pretty nice.

Looked into those but all the ones I found had either skulls or tassles. I've been searching around....even Louboutin and my local Stubbs and Wootton "Palm Beach Chic"

what is your ratio of purchase failure (fit/color doesn't suit you, disappointing fabric, etc, anything that you can't hold the seller responsible for)? i'm asking because it's been such a bad month for me. nearly half of my purchase need to be let go. facepalm.gif

I'd go out on a limb and say pretty much everybody's 'purchase failure ratio' has improved with buying experience. Mine used to be horrid. Look at an item, purchase, unhappy, never get round to sending it back, wasted £££ etc. But obviously now I try to lessen my ratio of failure. I place photos of what I want into my photobucket and then have a look now and then to see what would be versatile and easily be integrated into my wardrobe, while keeping things interesting and slightly different. If the item is still there after months, I'll purchase. If it's gone, it probably won't work.

Used to be really terrible, like 90% return/resell.  Now pretty much everything I order works out, which is a whole 'nother problem...
