Look would work in LA or maybe St Louis but don't know about rest of the country.

Light wash denim jacket -> black jeans
Raw denim jacket -> no one should wear a raw denim jacket

Does anyone know of a good source for plain white tees with a shallow v-neck, preferably slimmer fitting or stretch, perhaps even pima cotton?

you can probably guess where this is going

I find uniqlo's v-necks to be on the shallower side.

Thanks for your time.

Match denim with denim, so I guess blue denim for both, maybe raw since the indigo jacket is lighter. Peoplewill tell you not to do that but hey.

I'm terrified that the 90s are going to return like that. That is the stuff that nightmares are made of.

^^You mean denim-on-denim or jean jackets in general?

I don't look forward to that, either (and I live in Mass, too, and am familiar with the absence of fashion here) but I think there's a place in this world for a tasteful jean jacket. Though that may be considered by some to be an oxymoron.

I was referring to what SVB posted.

The canadian tuxedo, i.e. denim on denim is pretty bad too, but the top half grunge look with the preppy-ish colorful pants just freak me out for some reason.

I don't own one right now, but I like denim jackets. I'm far from an authority though...

I started tipping my tailor around 15 to 20% after about the 10th garment I brought in because I'll OCD over 1/4" and 1/2" in jean tapering and hemming decisions during fittings.

the denim tux is all about owning it. it's doable (as long as it's broken in or light washed. that's part of owning it.)

i agree w/ thewho about light denim jacket+dark/black denim, and a raw denim jacket...well, if you have really worn in raw denim jeans already, i'd pair it it with that, but probably nothing else.

Only French or Canadian can pull this off, according to my old French speaking Canadian teacher.
