heh, well, it's funny you should say that ... you should see my yoox dream box currently.

although we just booked a bunch of travel, so I'm going to try to hold off on any big/voluminous clothing buys for a bit.

some of what I'm lusting after, though:

and there are a few more like those. if any of it takes a huge drop, I may go for it.

What I really don't have that I guess I need is anything that can be worn in the rain (other than the packed-away Bean boots, which are overkill anyway). In LA this problem only very rarely presents itself. Open to any suggestions though. It occurs to me that replacing my Clarks with suede Alden Dovers certainly won't fix that problem.

Waterproof the suede? Change shoes at work?

I've left a pair of black or burgundy shoes at work for that purpose since they go with just about everything.

The only decent looking water resistant dress shoes I've seen are cole haans but their quality is meh. PASS!

common projects are my go-to rain shoes and would work with the Stanley Van Buren Wardrobe (tm)

That's a pretty good idea. Black mids would do the trick. I will keep that in mind, thanks.

Stan, I have that silk collard knit....one of my favorite pieces (i've found the collard knits in general to be very versatile) looking at a cream cashmere one presently

I like that collared knit. I too have been eyeing one in cream cashmere that's 75% off (probably same place?) but think I'll pass since they don't take returns.

I'll stop spamming this thread with our SS stuff but for those of you that don't regularly check our thread, I've updated my original post with links to made the deposit to purchase/reserve one.  They are moving very, very fast and quantities are limited so once they're gone their gone.

I'm curious as to what size you got. You're a smedium or true small?

yeah we are looking at AirBnBs in/near Bellagio. Found one right across the lake from it that is nice and another a couple miles south. Had a third one I was looking at in the center of Bellagio that got booked up for our dates a couple days ago. The ones a little further out seem to be nicer, have awesome lake views, and may just have a more authentic experience to provide but I'd love to hear your thoughts if you've been there.

Oh man, went to some super fun raves/parties in random castles in that area with my wife years back.
Ahhh... pre-children memories.

Make sure to go to the train station in good time, as the airport train only leaves once an hour and is painfully slow and cabs are expensive (learned that the hard way).

There's a lot of design shops in Brera, 10 Corso Como is right at the very top, they also have an outlet shop somewhere in an unmarked basement, it's the same area where all the furniture shops are.

There's a burger joint on Via Palermo, which sells burgers with Piedmonte beef.

This morning, I was stuck behind a Buick with a license plate that said "HIRSH," but I didn't see an iPad anywhere, so false alarm.
