Have any of you guys ever gotten to the point where you are truly fine with what you have, and don't pine for that one thing you really want? There's a real short list in my head, and every time I check something off, I immediately start obsessing over the next thing. It's like I'm on a ******* clothing safari and need to bag that white rhino.

inorite. it's worse now than before - i buy something $$$$ and it's like "i effin love this" but then i look at other $$$$ item which is on the next "must cop" list...hurts wallet

i need to get hold of snake. and he's on a plane right now to paris.

waitaminute, do we have a rep system now? If you thumbs up a post you have the option to "add to reputation." Maybe it has been there for months and I missed it.

Spent almost two grand over the year on building a solid wardrobe, received a letter that I have to join the army in 2 years. Farewell, happy fields where joy forever dwells; hail horror, hail infernal army :violin:

It's kind of sad, but I need to let go of some pieces I'm really into but don't wear. Cloak jacket and CdGH+ shirt are on the chopping block first. Not that I'm strapped for money, but I don't want to keep stuff around just for the sake of keeping it. Does anyone have **** in their closet that they don't really wear but keep around for whatever reason?

My MMM high tops and rafstros were both like this. They're nice to have around, and cool to look at but I just never wore them. I finally parted ways with them recently, don't regret it.

Unc- yeah, I understand. I like the transition- it suits you well. I think if you swapped out your shirts, and got rid of the wide flared pants, it shouldn't be too drastic, eh?

Well that's pretty much the basis of my whole wardrobe. I'm getting rid of almost everything because either I'm sick of it or it's too tight to be comfortable (stylistically or physically). Keeping one floral shirt and one leopard shirt, rest are toast haha. The wardrobe I have of things I want to keep is really small, actually.

I live here and I like some of the stuff I see. But I'm taller than the average Japanese male. I can't find anything my size here.

How tall are you? I'm 5'11" and most size L fits me.

Yeah for a while now I've been unloading a bunch of stuff (most of it black) that I just never wore but felt like hanging on to for whatever reason. Enough is enough and I have new cops to fund :slayer:

Make sure you set aside round trip airfare to NZ for me. It ain't cheap!
The only other specific items I want for this AW are:
Inis Meain crewneck
insulated deerskin gloves
a couple of wool scarves for winter
maybe a pair of wool trousers

Look into Paul Harnden for gloves, his stuff is awesome

Regarding some of the earlier conversations on here, if I don't wear something I try to get rid of it. I feel lighter or something that way. I also only shop opportunistically, meaning I buy what I happen to find at a price I can afford. I don't really find pieces I like and then save for them and seek them out. The only exception is boots, because I keep them for years and wear them all the time (the boots I'm wearing now I've worn at least three times a week for the past four years). It definitely helps that I live in New York and have tons of sample sales and overstock sales where I can find cool stuff at a discount.
