Is there a Japanese equivalent to SF/sufu/SZ? Or a French?

I'm annoyed by some of farfetchs sale prices on higher end pieces which are same as pre-sale prices on other sites.

Love yo ox, hate playing cat mouse with revolving sales price adjustment roulette.

Previous company I worked at ended up rolling out their own custom ecommerce CMS, simply because the scale of products on-site, alongside the complexity involved in the categorisation structure meant that using something like Magento wouldn't be worthwhile. It also allowed a much greater flexibility for the marketing team.

That meant multiple full-time devs were responsible solely for building a platform. $25k is fairly cheap when you think about things.

When people ask me what they should go with, I always ask these questions:

1) How much are you making now (if you are a already a retailer,) and how much do you expect to make with the site, and how much do you have to allocate to operating costs.  This usually narrows things down, a lot.

2) What do you need in the system to do? (95% of the time, an out of the box solution has everything you need and more.

3) What do you expect in terms of growth?: (I think that an out of the box situation can sometimes look too generic if you want to be a big player, bu there are some pretty big retailers out there working off Big Commerce or something similar)

And of course, you have to consider if you have in-house development or a developer on retainer.  If you do, that's great.  If not, a custom CMS or Magento system may be too much of a pain or continuing expense, since custom systems always have bugs, and unlike something like Big Commerce, there is not someone else who profits from continuing to upgrade and maintain the system.

Is it reasonable and worthwhile to get a pair of chinos taken in at the waist if they have felled-seam construction? I just got these from United Stock Dry Goods, and they're amazing but one or two sizes too big. ffffuuuu.gif I'm pretty sure I've only had pants with busted-seam construction altered in the past.

Also, now I kinda wanna find the matching jacket. peepwall[1].gif

I don't know if you've seen Chris Hardwick's new show @midnight, but guests frequently include cast members of The State.

Bonus pic to keep things relevant: comedian spotted in Norse Projects Anton Broken Leaf Shirt?
