most of the japanese workwear companies will make a long shirt.

I admit I've also been looking at some longer shirts.

Most of the time I think they look better if they're only extended in the back, or at least more so than in the front.

Also a higher risk of looking bad if you don't have equal volume in the bottom part of your fit. Looks better imo with looser pants (a la Yohji / Damir) than in that Ann D pic.

been wearing longer shirts for a minute now...I posted about this in the Schneider thread and I think it read like I was referring to Schneider shirts in particular, but actually I meant it as a general thing. I am really exhausted of the short and cropped hem on a lot of shirts these days. I think Schneider stuff does well with it because his fabrics and details make sense with that shape. Something about the longer arced hem is just prettier to me, it's a bit romantic and I feel like it can go more places/more directions. With a short square hem, you have to wear it untucked and it kind of comes off as this 'made for casual cool sportswear' gq kind of thing. blurhg.

on that note I strolled into j crew yesterday for research purposes and saw a few pretty cool shirting fabrics. didn't try any on though. the rest is pretty much the same old schlock.

I would probably wear that Ann D shirt with black Yohji wide trousers, it would look too much like a dress in anything else because of the slightly flared hem.

Something like this though definitely works with slim trousers

Apparently Ringo Starr wears Lad Musician? Makes weird sense.

Geller did it last season and it was a hit, but then again, it was designed where you could wear it different ways

Four horsemen has a chambray long shirt. The back is longer than the front. I think twork posted a fit with it. COmes in blue or grey.

Long shirts own; sadly sold my only truly long shirt (as opposed to shirts that are just long and worn long like some CdG ones I have) but I've got my eyes peeled for more...

I also have that one I made which is similar to the 4horsemen one, but longer in the back.

This Damir one from a couple seasons ago is really nice. Longer front, hidden placket, collar can be worn up or down, and the fabric's fantastic.  Not sure if he's remade it, but would definitely recommend picking one up if you come across one.
